With The One Direction UK Tour Wrapping Up The Band Is Preparing For Their US Tour

How to throw an easy to clean kids birthday party

1. Make it special. This is the quintessential part to having a successful birthday party. I recently threw my daughter a sleepover party for her 10th birthday. I know how much she loves hello Kitty so I got each girl a white hello Kitty t-shirt, and a little bag filled with special goodies. They each had a lip gloss, a nail polish, and the pillow. My daughter really enjoyed helping me put it together, and it is a special memory for me.

2. Invite only who you want to invite. This is been a struggle for me because I am a people pleaser and will often invite everybody so no one gets their feelings hurt. But, sometimes this is that the cost of my daughters actual wants and needs. So, this year we only invited five of her closest friends. The girls all got along really well and everybody had a great time.

3. Served easy to clean food. I spent so much time in the kitchen throughout the year, the last thing I want to do is spend all evening slaving over a hot meal for six little girls. I kept the menu simple and served my daughters favorite snacks. The appetizers were chips and dip, and fruit. That we ordered Pizza Hut pizza for everybody. She loves pepperoni and mushroom with a panned crust. Everybody loves pizza so I knew it would be a hit and i had plenty of pizza hut coupons to use. They drank soda from paper cups, and a dinner on paper plate. All I had to do was pick everything up and thrown in the trash. This made it super easy to clean.

4. Clean as you go. With every step of the birthday party, pick up, wipe down, and clean up as you go. It may seem like extra work but it will cut your cleanup time in half on the back end. Once dinner was cleaned up then move on to the next step, the cake. 5. Have an end time. Many parties Ive gone to on the invitation only have a start time. But to make sure all the girls are picked up at a reasonable hour in the morning, I wrote down and end time. It wasn’t unreasonable of course, it was 11:30 AM. This way I let the girls sleep then, and fed them a healthy breakfast and I got her one of those edible arrangments to eat. They hung out in the morning watching television and their moms were all there to pick them up at a reasonable hour. This gave us all a Saturday afternoon to relax… And it was super easy to clean!

This was one of the best birthday parties we’ve ever had. My daughter had a blast with all of her friends, and everybody loved the Pizza Hut pizza. It was simple yet fun. I will definitely do this again!
